vScanMG - underground communications locator with metal detector function and GPS module as additional functions from Vivax-Metrotech, USA.

The vScanMG model performs all 3 basic functions of an underground communications detector:
1. finds communications,
2. identifies communications,
3. determines the depth of its installation.
The additionally added metal detector function provides the ability to find buried, asphalted, snow-covered manhole covers and valve caps. The built-in GPS module provides the ability to add measurement site coordinates to measurement data, as well as visualize underground communication traces on a Google Earth map.

- For passive communications (disconnected power and communication cables, optical cables with a signal core, metal pipelines), the vScanMG receiver requires a vScanTx generator in order to provide the above three basic functions.

- For non-conductive communications (plastic water pipes, plastic sewer pipes, etc.), the vScanMG receiver requires a push cable with a 33 kHz probe/generator.

vScan user interface and control are intuitive and meet industry standards, but new features help the user to quickly and accurately achieve excellent results, as well as save the collected data. The functions of the receiver/locator can be configured using the MyvScan, which also provides data transfer and management.

vScan application:
•   Find, track and measure the installation depth of underground pipelines and cables;
•    Find, track and measure the installation depth of non-metallic pipelines using a probe;
•   Save measurement data: measure the required parameter and save it together with location information (vScanG, vScanMG models);
•    With the vScanM version, find buried, covered or asphalted iron covers, valve covers, etc.
•    With the vScanG, vScanMG versions, record the coordinates of the measurement location and save them together with the measurement data in the receiver's internal memory for further transfer to the user's computer.
