CME5A from Tramex (Ireland) is an emitter / receiver type concrete moisture meter.

It measures humidity on an absolute or percentage scale in concrete walls, concrete floor coverings, concrete slabs and cement plaster.

Tramex Concrete Encounter CME5A is a handheld electronic humidity meter that uses resistance measurements to determine humidity. On the base of the device (see Figure No.1) 8 pcs. gold-plated, spring-loaded electrodes transmitting low-frequency signals to a concrete or cement floor to a depth of approximately 125 mm. The results indicate the average moisture content up to a depth of about 100 mm during the drying period.

The tool is equipped with a Bluetooth data channel for work with a TRAMEX application installed on a smartphone for researching, analyzing, storing data on a computer or printing.

In addition, it is possible to buy a CME5A holder with an extension for hard-to-reach places.

Attention!

Solid or dense metal fittings and metal fibers at a depth of 3 cm to 10 cm can affect the readings!

Moisture content for concrete: up to 6%

Carbide method moisture content equivalent to concrete: 0-4

Carbide method moisture content equivalent on anhydride: 0-1.9

Maximum permissible error: 1.5%.
