vScanM - underground communications detector with additional metal detector function from Vivax-Metrotech, USA.
The vScanM model performs all 3 basic functions of an underground communications detector:
1. finds communications,
2. identifies communications,
3. determines the depth of its installation.
And the additional metal detector function ensures the detection of manhole covers, valve covers, etc. metal objects.
- For passive communications (disconnected power and communication cables, optical cables with a signal core, metal pipelines), the vScanS receiver requires a vScanTx generator in order to provide the above three basic functions.
- For non-conductive communications (plastic water pipes, plastic sewer pipes, etc.), the vScanS receiver requires a push cable with a 33 kHz probe/generator.
