The signal induction clamp provides a convenient way to input a location signal to live power communications.
The most popular is 125 mm inside diameter clamp for transmitters with maximum power 10W.

For this clamp maximum live cable voltage is 11kV.
It is usually used when it is not possible or convenient to access the communication to make a direct connection, but there is enough space to clamp around the cable or pipe, or when it is not safe to make a direct connection because the target cable is live. It provides signal induction in communication without the need to connect the generator to ground, which greatly facilitates the operator's work in urban environments.
Signal induction clamp are specialized inductive devices, sometimes called single-winding induction transformers.
All clamps are optimized to operate at certain frequencies. In most cases, they are intended for use in the frequency range 8 kHz to 83.1 kHz.
The SiS clamp with an internal diameter of 100 mm is only intended for use with generators and receivers equipped with the SiS function.
The inner diameters of the clamps range from 5 cm to 45 cm. Select the inside diameter of the clamp to match the outside diameter of the communication with a small margin upwards.
Length of standard connecting cable 4 m.
The base of the clamp has a thread for screwing in a 75 cm long insulating handle / extension. (The exception is the flexible clamp.) Extension handles can also be screwed in one after the other.
Connect the clamp to the generator, circle it arround the communication you are looking for, and perform tracing and depth determination.
